ASEAN Para Games 2022 will feature 14 sports

As previously known, NPC Indonesia has proposed 13 sports to compete. Sports include athletics, swimming, badminton, table tennis, chess, weightlifting, boccia, judo, goalie, wheelchair tennis, archery, CP football and wheelchair basketball.

“So there was a request before the Board of Governors (BoG) of the ASEAN Para Sport federation on February 17. The participating countries requested 3 additional sports, first for cycling, 10 bowling and volleyball.
“But we only accommodate one additional sport, which is seated volleyball,” Deputy Secretary-General of Indonesia’s National People’s Congress Rima Verdanto said separately.

“Like Myanmar, the Philippines, and Thailand, where volleyball like sitting or volleyball like sitting in competition. So there’s one additional sport.”

Regarding the goal, Indonesia’s National People’s Congress Speaker Seni Marpon said that his party has set a goal for the overall champion in this 11th edition. “Our goal is, hopefully, we don’t get ahead of God, but on paper we figured we could be the overall champion,” Sene said.

“When you are in ASEAN Para Games In Malaysia yesterday (2017) we were much higher than Malaysia and Thailand.”

On Thursday, St. Peter’s stunned Kentucky to become the 10th No. 15 seed to win a men’s NCAA tournament game. On Saturday, it joined truly rarified air. In a second-round matchup with No. 7 Murray State, the Peacocks picked up where they left off with a 70-60 win over the Racers to secure an unlikely Sweet 16 bid.
