Odell Beckham Jr. finally responds to Matt Judon’s recruiting efforts on Twitter


Matt Judon is finally seeing the fruits of his labor. The New England Patriots edge rusher has been recruiting aggressively on Twitter during free agency, but hasn’t seen any of his targets join his team.

But for the first time, he seems to at least have captured the attention of one free agent: receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

Judon tweeted at Beckham for a second time, and the receiver responded. Beckham felt like the Patriots needed to get Judon “a lil raise. I see u been recruiting.” Judon has had a discouraging run in his self-appointed role of Recruiting Director. But there’s still time left in free agency. Perhaps Judon will find a way to lure some of the remaining talents.

At least he got a response.

URI basketball coach Archie Miller's first impressions

SOUTH KINGSTOWN — Archie Miller spent the majority of his Monday doing some public speaking. The University of Rhode Island introduced its new men’s basketball coach , and the press conference at Higgins Welcome Center played out in front of a capacity crowd. Miller offered an extended opening address before accommodating media requests over the next hour or so. Here are a few extended cuts from Miller’s introduction. St Peter's advances to Sweet 16 past Murray State

On Thursday, St. Peter’s stunned Kentucky to become the 10th No. 15 seed to win a men’s NCAA tournament game. On Saturday, it joined truly rarified air. In a second-round matchup with No. 7 Murray State, the Peacocks picked up where they left off with a 70-60 win over the Racers to secure an unlikely Sweet 16 bid. And like on Thursday, this was no fluke. St. Peter’s was the better team from the opening tip. The Peacocks never trailed Murray State. They opened a 32-27 half time lead then scored the first eight points of the second half as if to announce to their doubters that this was actually happening.
